OUR STORY

Matthew and Anna first met in 2016 at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, where Anna was a server and Matthew was a frequent customer (perhaps a little too frequent). Their casual conversations over cups of Italian ice eventually sparked something much sweeter.

They officially began dating on November 21, 2016, and their relationship grew over many years—and many miles—apart. From attending different universities (UCF for Anna, USF for Matthew) to navigating long-distance so they could pursue their dreams, they supported each other through every challenge and milestone.

In 2021, they moved in together—along with Anna’s sister Meg her beloved dog, Gigi. Their home was full of laughter, shared meals at Tres Amigos, and cozy evenings watching movies.

Then in August 2023, Anna made the move to Washington, D.C., to join Matthew at his first duty station.

On November 29, 2024, Matthew proposed at Shenandoah National Park, just as the sun was setting behind the mountains. Moments before, Anna had joked that it would’ve been the perfect place to get engaged—completely unaware of what was about to happen. She was shocked, emotional, and gave a joyful “yes.”

Now, after years of growing together across cities and seasons of life, Matthew and Anna are ready for the next chapter. They're most excited for married life in a new city, exploring the world together, and making memories as a little family—with Gilmore always along for the ride.
